Art Teachers Resources

Art teachers, do you think your students would like a peek inside my studio? You are welcome to share this video with them! I know there are students out there that love horses and art…. I was one… and still am!

Here are some questions, based on the video, that your students could answer:
Name five breeds of horses represented in the “Horse Ballet” paintings.
Which three paintings feature the same stallion?
What room of her house does Karen use as a studio?
What medium does Karen use?
Which painting is your favorite and why?
Which painting do you think best represents the “Horse Ballet” theme and why?
What item can you find in the video that Karen recycles/reuses in her studio?
What is that piece of exercise equipment in the corner?
Make up a name for one of the paintings. Explain why you chose the name.
Name the two places she’s traveled to that are mentioned in the video.
If you could take a virtual visit to any artist, singer, musician, or actor’s home, who would you choose….and why?
